This floating pool alarm monitors pools up to 20' x 40' and sounds an alert when it detects a child or pet (15 lbs. minimum, depending on sensitivity settings) falling into the water. The system includes a floating unit that stays in the pool and a wireless indoor receiver so alerts can be heard inside the house. Setup requires no drilling or deck modification. Place the battery in the unit, adjust the sensitivity settings, and set it in the pool. The alarm meets ASTM Safety Specification F 2208 requirements and uses water disturbance detection technology to trigger alerts when sudden falls or jumps occur. It will not detect gradual entry into the pool.
